I am a computer scientist and software developer with a diverse set of interests including: geology, paleontology, biochemistry, genetics, neuroscience, quantum mechanics, astrophysics, history, and communications. A side effect of having so many interests is that I no longer see boundaries between these areas. They each bleed into one another.

Professionally my career has focused on cybersecurity with an emphasis on detecting malicious activity inside complex systems - individual computers, enterprise networks, and the Internet as a whole. Interestingly, my recent time at FICO has taught me that many of the same skills and techniques used in detecting and analyzing malicious activity in cyberspace can be applied to detecting and analyzing malicious activity in financial space.

And again, I now see how my original discipline, cybersecurity, bleeds into many other fields - financial crimes, information warfare, targeted and adaptive communications on an industrial scale, politics, and history.

In addition to cybersecurity, I enjoy developing apps, tooling, and models for mixed reality. To see some of that content, please see my NetSQ LLC site.
